The Ghosts Scenario Paintball Team got its start in 2000 at a Minnesota field called The Combat Zone.

CZ, as it is called, was the main field of play for Jordan "Ace" and Brandon "Fallen". They would work together to form ambushes, sneak behind the other team's lines, and things of that nature. Slowly the two built their skills by sharpening their teeth on the amatuers and pros that would show up for these Saturday Walk-On games.

Addicted to the sport from the very start, the two took the stories of their exploits back to High School as soon as they could, and it didn't take long for their other friends to take an interest. Excited by the stories of stealth, surprise, and sniper-like kills, the newcomers decided to try their hand at the sneakier side of the sport...

Not long after the group of friends had begun their stealth practices, a noticeable improvement could be seen. The "fresh fish" were also learning to sharpen their skills on the walk-on players. Soon, everyone began working in pairs, a practice that is a cornerstone of the team to this day.

Now it was time to start up a team... Just a group of friends who played for fun. After some deliberation about a name, Ghosts seemed like it fit the team best. It also became very evident that there were two distinct playing styles being used by the team members:

On one hand, you had players almost obsessed with camouflage, wearing ghillie suits and applying camo to every piece of equipment. These players would also put very specific upgrades into their markers... These upgrades worked on supression and accuracy. These are the players we call our snipers.

There was also another kind of player, an agressive player... These players would regularly participate in speedball, and upgraded their markers for higher rate of fire and maneuverability. They still embraced the stealth role like the rest of the team, but they took it a different way... Not content to sit idly by and wait for an enemy to come into an ambush, these players would take the fight to the opposition, using stealth and speed to close the gap until all the enemy could say is "What the..." before he got 2 to the mask. These are the players we call our scouts.
